Gabrielle Roach was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. She received her BFA in painting and printmaking from Indiana State University in 2014 and was awarded a Master of Fine Arts degree from Miami University in 2017.
Gabi lends her knowledge of illustration and creative processes to PAR-Projects. She currently teaches an experiential sketchbook + artistic practice class, while planning to help design classes related to professional printmaking.
Jonathan Sears fills in and wears the educator hat from time to time, when not consumed with his roll as Executive Director of PAR-. His background includes a double-concentration BFA from Barton College in Graphic Design and Photography, as well as a Master of Fine Arts Degree in digital media and animation from University of Maryland (College Park).
Believing diversity of conversation is vital to making & understanding, his focus is to make sure the PAR-Projects education programming is able to attract students of various ages, races, and economic backgrounds.
Billy Simms is a printmaker, photographer, performer, and sculptor. He recently received his MFA from Miami University, where he focused on printmaking. He has an undergraduate degree in Theatrical Scenic and Lighting Design from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Masters degree in Special Education from The Johns Hopkins University.
Billy lends his knowledge of "all things educational," as well as a number of his skills related to photography, lighting and craftsmanship.
Kailah Ware is a Cincinnati-rased photographer and film producer. Since graduating from Wright State University, Kailah has worked on a number of local production projects, and recent won a People's Liberty grant for her project
1 Degree of Separation.
Kailah lends her photographic eye and vast video experience to PAR-Projects. For us, she teaches everything from the basics of camera operation, to planning + executing proper video advertisements.
